1. Accounts Assistant in Public Sector Undertakings 

Several Public Sector Undertakings hire Account Assistants in order to look into the regular accounting tasks. Creating Payrolls, pricing the bills, accounting of the several types of equipment that are held by offices of companies, creating regular financial reports, etc all are done by the Accountant Assistant. Being a white collared job, it is a job one any commerce student can think of right after their class 12. As and when the job openings are announced, one should keep a track and apply for it, if one wants to have a government job after class 12 itself.

2. SSC Intermediate Level

Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC Intermediate Level Examination for all 12th pass candidates who are looking for government jobs right after passing their plus twos. The posts people get after the Intermediate Level Examination are of the clerical level and the posts are popularly known as the Lower Division Clerk (LDC). The candidates who get through this examination get appointed in several Central Government departments like Central Board of Excise and Customs, Central Board of Direct Taxes, Ministry of External Affairs, Central Vigilance Commission, Ministry of Railways, Armed Forces Headquarters, Comptroller Auditor General, Enforcement Department, Intelligence Bureau, Central Secretariat, Central Bureau of Investigation, Central Bureau of Narcotics, National Investigation Agency and the like.

3. SSC Matric Level

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC Matric Level Examination for all students who have passed class 10, which makes it possible for students who have passed class 12 to appear for this exam as well. The posts that one gets after clearing the SSC Matric Level Examination are that of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant, and Junior Secretariat Assistant. This examination is conducted twice a year and students of commerce wanting a government job right after class 12 can take this exam as well. 

4. Indian Army

Students who have passed their 12th grade with commerce stream can apply for non-technical trades in the Indian Army. One can apply for this online or even attend the recruitment rally to apply for the Indian Army. The post of Sepoys is given to those who get selected through these recruitment rallies. Depending on the various available criteria, the maximum promotion one can attend from the post of a Sepoy is that of a Subedar major. The students with commerce in class 12 can also sit for the National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination as well. 

5. Indian Navy

SSR or the Senior Secondary Recruitment and the MR or the Matric Recruitment are the two main examinations that one can take after passing class 12. One has to be physically fit and active to be able to apply for any of the posts in the Indian Navy. The notifications of the job come out online and one has to apply there itself. This is also a very good option for those who want to have a job right after class 12.

6. Indian Air Force

The Airmen of the Indian Airforce are recruited on the basis of the eligibility criteria set which requires every candidate to pass their 12th grade. The Indian Air Force conducts its examination online in order to recruit those interested candidates from the entire country. One can apply for a job in the Indian Air Force through its online website. The candidates who clear the National Defence Academy (NDA) examination can also join the Indian Air Force but as a Commissioned officers with their first ranking being the Flying Officer. The NDA examinations don’t allow girls of the nation to take this examination and are restricted only to the male gender. One decided to join the Indian Air Force should keep a check of the notifications of vacancy or job recruitment to be out on the official website of the Indian Air Force.

7. Indian Coastal Guard 

One can join the Indian Coastal Guard as either Navik (Domestic Branch) or as Navik (General Duty Branch). Only the candidates with Mathematics and Physics in their plus twos are eligible for the General Duty Branch. One needs to pass their 10th grade to apply as Navik of the Domestic Branch. Commerce students after their 12th grade can hence apply as Navik of the Domestic Branch and not as that of the General Duty Branch.

8. Indian Railway

The posts in the Railway is designed for students who have passed class 10 or class 12 and also for those who have completed graduation. A commerce student after class 12 can choose to complete their graduation and then sit for the examination for the Indian Railways and apply for posts of a clerk, RPF SI, Commercial Assistant, Ticket Collector, and the like. If a commerce student after class 12 wants a job directly in the Railways then they can apply for the Group D posts. 

9.  Forest Department 

The Forest Department of all the state governments opens the hiring of the Forest Guards from time to time. The eligibility criterion for this job is that one needs to be at least class 12 pass, enabling the commerce students to apply for this job after clearing their class 12 board examinations. If one wants to apply as the Deputy Range Forest Officer then they mandatorily need to complete their graduation. 

10. Accounts Assistant in the Government Departments 

Several Government Departments like the Ministry of Home Affairs or the Ministry of Women & Child Development recruit people to fill the posts of Accounts Assistant. The eligibility criteria for this is that one needs to complete their 12th grade. Hence Commerce students can easily apply for this job after completing their 12th grade.
